We MUST have power with God. Our entire future is dependent on this one thing. I would go so far as to say this. If we don't have power with God, all other religious activity is in vain.
Holy Spirit inspired, Holy Spirit-produced, and Holy Spirit-sustained power is everything.
You may say, "We just need to be more loving." The problem with statements like that is that many people pushing that doctrine don't understand the concept of love according to the Bible. Love is not primarily niceness or kindness or gentleness. No, true love is so much deeper than mere demeanor or tone of voice or what is seen on the outside.
Love is deeper than how you say something. True love is and must be more concerned with the truth than with perception. Love and truth are inextricably intertwined. There is no such thing as love that turns a blind eye to truth. That is some kind of cheap counterfeit.
In the coming messages, we will dwell on these questions 1. What happens when we have power with God? What is it like when we have power with God? 2. What happens when we lack power with God? What is it like (and what does it look like) when we are powerless? 3. How do we Get power? Or What is the path to power?
