Glorifying God in Bartow County. Matthew 5:13-16In this passage, Jesus is teaching his disciples how to glorify the Father by being salt and light.We today are Jesus disciples and if we've trusted Him as our Lord and Savior, we can see that this passage Teaches us how to glorify our Lord and Savior right here in Bartow County. You are to be the salt of the earth. In Jesus day, salt was a rare commodity. History tells us that the Roman soldiers were sometimes paid with it. Salt cannot be ignored. If salt is absent, it is missing. Salt must encounter something in order for it to have influence. Salt produces thirst. And we glorify God by shining in our community. I am the light of the world. People should look at us and see the illuminating glory of Jesus Christ. A city set on the hill cannot be hidden. When you flip on the light switch, the light doesn't just shine in one particular spot. It shines it everywhere. We know that we can do nothing on our own. Jesus indicated that we could let our own light shine to give glory to him. And we glorify God by serving our community. Let your light shine. That we bring glory to God in this new coming year of 2024.
