Although some might recognize these more readily in a physical sense, these times of austerity, isolation, confusion, and deprivation also exist within the heart, soul, and mind of the believer. Wrestling with unanswered questions, lacking in areas of personal growth, and hitting a spiritual plateau on any or all issues one faces are just a few examples that exist of spiritual wilderness of Hebron experiences that take place internally. Lessons learned in the wilderness are valuable to the growth and success of leaders God chooses to use in powerful ways. It is often in the wilderness of Hebron where God reveals Himself to be enough for that individual and the only permanent, stable, life-giving source of inspiration, direction, wisdom, and revelation.
