Philippians 2:1-11 – Christian Humility – Sermon Outline Intro: Christ's incarnation, His becoming man, born some 2,000 years ago, made possible our salvation and consolation in Him. Our service to God and one another must be in humility, because Christ humbled Himself. Need: Christ humbled Himself by becoming flesh, and then dying for sinful man to take us, body and soul, up to glory with Him, where He is now glorified as the God-Man and will bring us to glory with Him some day. Theme: God becoming man in Christ to save us should produce humility in our lives.
1. Paul's exhortation and example to humbly serve one another with our gifts (1-4). 2. Christ's humble service in human flesh for us leads us to humbly worship Him. (5-11).
