• the righteousness of God is God-given through Him. • It is the work of God; You are made righteous; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 • You are MADE righteous but need to filled with the fruits of righteousness; something • This fruit is something beneficial for others; they feed upon this righteousness. • A fruit tree bears fruit so that others may come along and be blessed by the fruit of that tree. • Fruit never means winning souls like some have incorrectly taught. Instead this fruit is the nine-fold "fruit of the Spirit" Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. • These are qualities and characteristics of the Lord Jesus, and they need to become our characteristics, our qualities. If we submit our will and life to Him, others will see those characteristics in us.
John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman….4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. • The fruit we bear is through Jesus Christ living through us. • The nourishment passes from the root to the branches to the fruit. The nutrients pass through to the fruit. • This growth only happens when Christians are yielded to God • Another prayer of Paul for the believer Ephesians 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, acc |
