How many of you have ever had that wonderful experience of finding one of those little hidden gem somewhere in this world? Maybe some little mom and pop restaurant hidden away in some corner of a big city, or in some small town out in the sticks in the middle of nowhere, where the food was just amazing. Or perhaps some little shop, that off and away from the main highway, away from all the big retail stores and main stream shopping malls of our bustling world, a shop, that, instead of just being another place to go shopping, it's that little homey place that's just a delight to be in, than just another place to by stuff. Or perhaps it's that natural unknown remote location out there in the wilderness somewhere, one that only a few individuals may know about, a place that makes you just go 'wow with nature'. A place where you can just soak it all in and not tire of it. Well, that is what we have here before us this morning and what was already read for us in the scripture reading. A couple of verses from a small seemingly insignificant book of the New Testament, one that if you don't stop and take the time to notice the little gems of this book, you pass by all of them in the hustle and bustle of your daily reading. |
