A Second Chance God Ex. 3:1-14 God is patient in giving us second chances—and not just one, but continual second chances. Micah 7:18 says, "Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy." God savors opportunities to offer second chances and is eager not to punish us when we truly seek forgiveness for our sin (Joel 2:13).1. The Communication of God 2. The Compassion of God 3. The Commission of God We see this most vividly in God's offering up His only Son—Jesus Christ—for the forgiveness of our sins. As the Apostle Peter explained, "'[Christ] himself bore our sins' in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; 'by his wounds you have been healed'" (1 Peter 2:24). Jesus lived the sinless life we couldn't live and died the gruesome death we should have received, to offer us a second chance at life with God. The God Who came to Moses is the same today as he was back then. He is the I AM who will never leave you and never forsake you, and who will bring you out of bondage to use your life for His Honor and His glory.
