For most of the world this will be a high time, a time to focus on ourselves and our families, a time of feasting. But it should also be a low time, a time we remember that God came down to save us. He came down because we could not save ourselves. He came down because we were stained with sin, and He gave the gift that we truly needed, forgiveness. Have you humbled yourself to say, “I need you!?” It is so easy this time of year to think of ourselves and miss the purpose of the gift. It was to save His people from their sins.
