... our brethren and sisters in India - and in many other parts of the world - are nervously awaiting a bout of fresh persecution for the cause of Christ!
On 17 December 2008, right-wing Hindu organisations in the province of Orissa, India, said they will observe a state-wide shut-down (bandh / strike) for 12 hours on Christmas Day.
Previous strikes last Christmas and in the summer (August 25) triggered waves of anti-Christian violence across the eastern state of Orissa.
In response to this continued violence, the United States Congressional Task Force on International Religious Freedom held a briefing titled, “The Threat Religious Extremism Poses to Democracy and Security in India: Focus on Orissa.â€
On Thursday, 18 December, 2008, the British House of Lords held a two and a half hour debate about recent developments in India. During this debate it was stated, "The closedown that the militants have declared on Christmas Day has put Christians awaiting Christmas into great fear.â€

Christmas: Satanic Paganism in The Church One of the popish and Satanic pagan infiltrations in the churches of today is known as Christmas. It is also commonly known that Christmas was a pagan festival on December 25 celebrating the birth of the Satanic god known as Tammuz. Also, the word 'Christmas' means Christ Mass in reference to the blasphemous Catholic Mass. The widespread observance of Christmas in today's churches is one example of how the Catholic Counter Reformation continues to this day. There needs to be more preaching against this Satanic popish festival of idolatry and paganism infiltrating the church today known as Christmas. Worth noting Jeremiah 10 in response to the issue of Christmas.

from Orissa, India
Thank You So Much! Dear Pastor and believers in Christ,
We request for prayers so that the violent persecution that begun on December 24, 2007 brings its impact in saving more lives for the Lord. Kindly pray for those that have lost homes and are displaced. Pray that they could be restored and rehabilitated. And for the Lord's healing upon the families that have lost their loved once. Pray as some are beginning to return to their places to make their houses, churches and lives from the ruins. And that we would be able to withstand the onslaught of persecution in winning the enemies of the Gospel for His beloved Kingdom. Thank you so much.
