Text: Isaiah 61:1-4 | Speaker: Levi Bakerink |Description: In this final section of his prophetic book, Isaiah provides a fuller picture of the promised savior. He is the Lord's anointed one, the Christ. And in this Christ, both King and Servant are united. He is the Servant who ministers to the poor, the brokenhearted, and brings the good news of the Lord's favor. And he is the King who liberates the captives and ushers in the day of God's vengeance. All this, Jesus declares, was fulfilled in his advent (Luke 4:21). He is the Christ, the Servant-King.
