Yet, even in that moment God promised that he would make it right, through the offspring of the woman (Gen. 3:15). Throughout the Old Testament, this promise was reiterated, through Abraham, through the kingdom of David and his son Solomon, and in the Temple itself. But all of those were just signs pointing to a future Messiah, the true Offspring, the true and better Son of David. This person is Jesus, God in the flesh. This is God with us, fulfilled. And He brings us assurance, grace, and comfort.
