The world wants a domesticated Christmas, devoid of the central message of the Bible: that it is about God, not about us. And it is about the Incarnation of the Son of God, not about a merely human religious figure called Jesus. All the Biblical references to the Incarnation presuppose (or teach directly about) his pre-existence. His coming is with a specific purpose, and to make a unique proclamation. We ignore this proclamation at our peril.
