Lesson 15 in a study of Church History with Dr James M Phillips. Dr. Phillips covers 1000 AD to 1400 AD in the class. The subjects covered are; history of the Bible and the translations, Textus Receptus, Latin Vulgate and the modern translations. What is the Authorized Version of the Bible? The evolution of Catholicism. The subject and origin of celibacy. The story of the real Zoro in early California history. We regretfully state that Dr. Jim did not have the funds to record these classes on video which would have captured at least 2 hours of each class. Dr. Jim is an unsalaried volunteer pastor at Valley Baptist Church and these classes are all recorded out of his own funds which are limited. Not having these classes on video was a great loss because many of these classes went way beyond the CD and Cassettes' recording times. Please take time to send a donation to help keep these recordings and classes up on the web for all to learn God's word.

Great Sermon! I second that! A great history lesson! But depressing when on sees how helpless we "little people" are and how those in power just do as they want (not referring to Kennedy per se but to those who assassinated him). I'm writing in 2016, we are having a presidential election (?!?). We have NO CHOICE PERIOD. We are like sheep being led (to the slaughter?}. COME QUICKLY LORD JESUS!!!!!!!!!!

Great history Lesson I loved this class. It was a fantastic lesson and it helps to tie together all the misconceptions of church history taught in most schools today. They leave so much real truth about the evolution of what was to become the Catholic church. Thanks Dr. Jim for another great lesson.
