Let's not lose focus on the fact that Jesus came into our world. OUR world. HIS world. During the Christmas time of the year our minds are drawn once again to the manger, the baby, the Lord. Take time to reflect on Jesus—who He is (God in the flesh), what He's done (redeemed us), what He wants from us (faith and faithfulness). Enjoy time with family, friends, coworkers, neighbors. But especially enjoy time with Jesus. (I'm rereading the life of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark this season—care to join me?)A new year! Plenty of blessings from God lie ahead, so let's keep an ear to the ground and an eye on the sky and anticipate His work in us and through us. Maybe you'll want to make a new commitment (better than a resolution!) to read the Bible, to pray, to participate in church in fresh and refreshing ways. One big thrust at PCC this January will be our transition in pastoral leadership. Pastor Chris will step into the Lead Pastor position and I'll step into the Pastor of Discipleship position, contingent on the vote of the membership on January 30. If you have questions, reach out early and often! A great year lies ahead for you and for PCC.
