“ Great Sermon! ” Thank you for clear Biblical wisdom on this. The church seems easily led astray. I believe it is because they place more emphasis on books about “healing” than they do in God’s Word - thereby demoting God and placing other books as more important than the Bible by their own actions - reading more from “counseling type books than they read the Bible. Those actions speak loudly about who or what is more important to them than God. And it says they don’t really trust God’s Word or that God can heal their “illnesses” (SIN)! If we relabel sin as illness, then we can justify using extra biblical resources to our shame!!! May God revive His church and put us back on His path.

“ Great Sermon! ” Every word rang true. Thank you Dave Hunt. I have had a very short stint where I received "Christian" counseling. It was deeply flawed and didn't help me at all. In the end I went back to God's Word and took the Lord at His Word that the Holy Spirit is our Counselor and have been led back firmly to the Lord's Path. A path of committed discipline to study the Bible daily and to memorise Biblical verses to protect my mind.Again thank you!

“ Good news indeed ” This message has been immensely helpful to me. I have suffered from mental problems for many years and used to go to an evangelical psychiatrist. I also took medication to calm my anxieties. I can testify by personal experience that psychopharmaceutic medication is extremely addictive and harmful to the human body. Although I completely stopped taking medication a while age I am still suffering from withdrawal and believe me the first two weeks were hell on earth. How naive I was to believe that the multi-billion pharma-industry had my best in mind. Besides being extremely expensive these products have actually done me more harm than good. Even though I had a very sincere, honest and well-meaning Christian psychiatrist, the sessions did not really help to solve my problems. Dave Hunt is right! Please go to the Lord with your problems. He is still the best physician of your soul and he charges a lot less than psychiatrists do.
