Sometimes it is even resisted by us. But God calls upon us to wait on Him until He fulfills His promises to us. God is always the God of promise to His people. We wait for the things He has promised us to be realized by us. As we wait upon Him, we show forth our dependence on Him, our delight in Him, our confidence in Him, our submission to Him, in short, in our waiting on our God to fulfill all He has promised to us in His Son, we show forth a life of faith in Him as He leads us onward and homeward, toward the day when we will receive in full all that God has promised us in Jesus Christ.
