As we continue with our Christmas holiday theme, I want to bring a sermon that is described in the title given above. Obviously Christmas is a time of giving gifts to one another. Indeed, that has become the dominant theme, and the merchants in our society depend on heavy sales during this time of year. But I want to address that gifts that God has given that should be associated with the holiday season. Therefore, I will open up and describe three different divine gifts, revealing in each case the biblical support for the idea. These gifts are astounding, and they are absolutely essential to the well-being of every person. And yet most people do not even recognize the gifts that God freely gives, nor do they sense any need of the gift for themselves. However, as Christians who have received these gifts, we ought to be extremely grateful to our God and Father in heaven. I will conclude with a note to that end. May the Lord help many over this holiday season to see more clearly than ever exactly what the holiday of Christmas is really all about!
