God does not elevate the thing He creates any higher than the purpose for which he created it. There is an account in the Bible in which a man's donkey begins to talk to him. He won't listen to his own conscience. He won't listen to the voice of God's Spirit. But eventually Balaam listens to His donkey. It was a brief moment in time... a miracle of the projected power of God upon that beast. It didn't last. In a moment the donkey went back to chewing its cud and braying it's hee haws. There was another donkey that had a greater dignity placed upon it years later. Donkey's were not created to hold conversations with men... but they were made to bear burdens and the highest dignity a donkey has reached was when one donkey fulfilled its God made purpose in a most wonderful way.
The burden it carried was the Messiah as He made his way into Jerusalem to be the one who would die for our sins. As He came into the city riding upon that floppy eared comedy of an animal the people went before it crying out "Hosanna in the Highest" and "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" and they took their coats and they took palm branches and laid them before the feet of that donkey as they celebrated the precious cargo that it bore. That was the highest moment of purpose a donkey has ever known or will know...
Understand me... God does not elevate the thing He creates any higher than the purpose for which he created it. The glory of anything created is not to become something outside of itself... but to be brought to its fullest potential; to reach the destiny it was made for and that was put in it on the day of its making.
