Special Message - Our Faith Shall Be Sight - 2 Cor. 4:16-18; 5:1-11 - Preached after the loss of a faithful church member who was promoted to glory. Do we have reason to "not lose heart?" Where do we find confidence and assurance and hope in this life where the outer man is perishing and this body of flesh is a burden? And where do we find true, lasting comfort in the loss of a loved one? The Scriptures tell us that our short life in this fallen world is a light affliction and only a moment - but it is working is us things with glorious weight and meaning. The temporary things we see will one day give way to those invisible things that God has been doing all along. When we see Jesus face to face then we will know as we are known. And then it will all be worth it, because worthy is the Lamb that was slain!
