Even though most people did not aspire to become shepherds, it was shepherds who God used to first proclaim the good news of Jesus’ birth and welcome Him. Angels, which are messengers, are powerful and they are around even when we do not see them. God's angels watch over those who are His and He will place us where we need to be.
