There is only One who is good, that is God. The Bible tells us that the things recorded in it are for our instruction. We never have to fear that in the end things will turn out wrong. God will ensure that things will end up for good. We are never to take revenge, God will repay and He will avenge. We need to do whatever God tells us. Most of the time, if we’re not sure what we are to do, it is because we are ignoring something that we are supposed to be doing. If God tells us to do something, we should not move in fear and when God tells us to do something we need to do so even if the outcome could be uncomfortable. We need to do what God says regardless of what other interests are out there. It is never, ever, ever, a good idea to sin. When we do disobey God and we find ourselves in a mess, we should never sin to try to get our way out. In this culture, if someone could prove they had household idols, they could prove they have claim on the inheritance. Wherever we are and whatever we are doing, we should be working for God. God knows what is best for us.
