The angel told Joseph not to be afraid to take Mary as his wife, for that which was conceived in her was of the Holy Spirit. "And she will bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." We find a great deal of solid reformed theology packed in this precious verse. We see here: 1)A Savior 2)A Divine Savior 3)A Thorough Savior 4)A Savior of Particular People. 5)A Savior from Particular Sins (This outline may have first been used by C. H. Spurgeon. It seems too good to have originated with me). If this Christmas sermon does not bless your soul, contact me for a full refund. Russ Sukhia

Great Sermon! Pastor Sukhia absolutely amazed me as he examined this seemingly straightforward verse.
This message showed me the biblical truth that, from the opening chapter in the first book of the N.T., God worked out His consistent plan of salvation: that Jesus is eternal God; that mankind can’t save themselves and is utterly hopeless apart from God’s intervention; that Jesus didn’t just make salvation “possible” for a representative group of people but rather He DID SAVE every single person chosen from before the foundation of the world; and that He paid for specific sins committed by specific people.
No doubt this verse will be a part of many Advent sermons this month; however, most teachers probably will not be as thorough as Pastor Sukhia in plumbing the depths of Scripture in order to reveal the gospel message.
