To "seek the Lord" means to search out, to strive after, to desire, to ask, beg, to beseech. It means to seek the Lord himself and not something to put between Him and ourselves, such as our service, our knowledge, or our zeal. We need the Lord, and when we consider the state of our country, the churches, the homes, and this lost generation, it is surely obvious that is past time to seek the Lord! |
