The primary purpose of this first sermon is focused on understanding the importance of historical traditions in the Christian church. This sermon will argue for the importance of the past as being more than just something old needing to be discarded and done away with. Instead, we need to view and understand the past as central and vital to helping us navigate the present and prepare for the future.
