Those who have listened to the John Hagee speak over the years know that he is no stranger to making some starting statements, however his recent comments about his book “In Defense of Israel” are nothing short of heretical.
In a recent Youtube promotion for the book Hagee said his book, “will prove that Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah” and that “…since Jesus refused by word and deed to claim to be the Messiah, how can the Jews be blamed for rejecting what was never offered.”
Kendal Adams from www.alwaysreformingtoscripture.blogspot.com has reviewed the book and cataloged some of the statements:
He states, “Hagee believes he has a call on his life to bring Jews and Christians together (p. 14-15). His book addresses this, and for the first one hundred and thirty pages is pretty harmless. He talks about Israel and the anti-Semitism that has gone on in history. But then the book takes a wrong turn. Beginning on page 134 and following, I could hardly believe what I was reading.
Pg. 134 “The message of the gospel was from Israel, not to Israel!” (I will deal with this at the end of the review.)
Pg. 135-136 Under the heading “I've Come to Die!” Hagee states,“Five major points must now be made that are crucial to understanding that the Jews did not reject Jesus as Messiah.”
1. Jesus had to live to be the Messiah 2. If it was God's will for Jesus to die from the beginning. . . 3. If it was Jesus intention to be obedient unto death. . . 4. If there is not one verse of Scripture in the New Testament that says Jesus came to be the Messiah. . . 5. And if Jesus refused by his words or actions to claim to be the Mess

Heresy Behind Propaganda for Israel Starts at the 14:00 minute mark. Christian Zionism, which Hagee espouses, is a theological (Jewish) innovation and heresy (contrary to historical protestant teachers) for the purpose of political Christian support of modern secular (not scriptural) Israel. Thus Hagee is an agent preacher and activist for AIPAC and its propaganda to Congress and American media (which also promotes Zionism, while Orthodox Jews reject it). This just touches the surface. Look at the history of Christian Zionism's doctrinal emergence from Darby, Scofield, and Dallas Theological Seminary.
