Most of us have lightbulb moments—times when everything clicks, moments when it all makes sense. The disciples of Christ began with real difficulty—they did not understand the things they were seeing and hearing. The turning point came at the glorification of Jesus Christ—lifted up, risen in might, ascending to heaven, pouring out the Spirit. Then the disciples' memories made sense—the words and works of God in Christ fall into place. We have that wonderful vantage point—looking back, illuminated by the Holy Spirit, so that we too might make sense of what God has said and what Christ has done.
