We are to study the Word of God, and use all means available to use to aid us in it. We are NOT to remain ignorant and unlearned in the Scriptures, but we are to grow in grace and knowledge. We study in order to be able to live and conduct our lives in a way that is pleasing to God. We study so that we will not be ashamed when we are questioned about our faith, or our God. We study so that we may learn to rightly divide the Word of God. We are to study so that we do not lead others astray with our ignorance or misunderstanding.
