Jesus came to this earth as a Savior. He is returning to this earth as a conquering King. Until our King returns, you and I are stewards of the opportunities He’s given us to live for His glory and make Him known. The Scriptures remind us that God delights in lavishly rewarding His children for their faithful stewardship. “ Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities. ” (Luke 19:17, NKJV) In the parable of the ten minas, Jesus shows us just how gracious God is to His children. He gives us eternal life, and spiritual enablement, and them promises to reward us for the very things He equips us to do for Him! I look forward to our time in the Word this Sunday as we consider “Waiting for the King. ”
