“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift” (II Corinthians 9:15).
As we approach the Thanksgiving season, we can all think of a long list of things for which we should give thanks; but above all we should give thanks for God's unspeakable gift, Jesus Christ. We first consider that Christ is unspeakable. We look at Paul's experience and his descriptions of the greatness and glory of Jesus Christ. We look at the Old Testament prophecies and trace the footsteps of Jesus during His earthly ministry. After all of the wonderful things that are said about Him, the conclusion is words are not adequate; He is unspeakable. We also note Christ is a gift. A relationship with Him is not something you can earn, He is a gift. And finally we emphasize we should be thankful.
