This message shows that man's source problem is that he is dead in his trespasses and sins. He is spiritually dead, and in order to come to God, he must first be born from above.
John 3:5-8 5Â Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6Â That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Â Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8Â The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
The new birth is of God, by the will of God and not that of man:
John 1:11-13 11Â He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12Â But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13Â Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
