We finish our close look at the Ten Commandments by focusing on the final six, each of which pertain to our relationship with our "neighbor".
Jesus summed up the Ten Commandments in Matthew 22:37-40 saying:
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.â€
What He is telling us is that the first four commandments are as one and pertains to loving God, while the last six commandments are also as one commandment pertaining to loving our neighbor.

Great Sermon! The commandment Thou shalt not kill is totally misunderstood by people today. For instance, they rally against a murderer being lawfully executed for taking the life of an innocent person or persons, by holding up signs with that commandment. Yet they willingly, heedlessly break the commandment telling them they shall not take the name of thy God in vain. I enjoyed this message. God bless you and your congregation.
