๐ Diving Deep into John 1:11-14 - Finding Our Identity in Christ
"He came unto his own, and his own received him not..." Join us as we explore these profound verses from the Gospel of John, examining how Christ, the true Light, came into the world and offered a spiritual adoption to receive Him and becomes the sons of God.
In this sermon, we'll talk about the following:
The bittersweet reality of Christ's rejection by His own elect, chosen people Why the Bible doesn't teach universal salvation. The error of Calvinism concerning John 1:12-13 How the Calvinist misunderstands the word WILL. An appeal to receive Christ as Saviour. Why our final authority must be the Bible, not our philosophy about the Bible.
๐ John 1:11-14 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
