God revealed through Jeremiah that He has a plan for the Jewish people while they were still in captivity, a plan to 'prosper you and not to harm you, a plan to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11). To Daniel, God revealed that His plan to spiritually prepare Daniel's people for their Messiah and Messianic kingdom would take 490 years.
