The proverb reveals: a) the reality of falling and its regularity. Falling is by inference, is not attributive to sinful falling or moral lapse, rather it refers to experiencing of calamitous situations. These come, as a result of God's decreed Sovereign Providence. The purpose being, for our sanctification. Because; b) there's an assured rising again, which may be the; God rescues His own in this life time or permits His own to breath their last. c) In contrast to the wicked, who will perish when faced with calamity, the righteous are assured of the abiding presence of God with him. This would be so, since, the righteous are fixed on the unshakable rock; who is Christ. And, in contrast, the wicked' their feet are on quick sand, which would eventually lead to destruction. Therefore, in 2025, Christians are to be readily anticipative of God's multifaceted providential outworkings, and, we are praise Him for it, no matter what is permitted by God's right hand to come upon us. |
