What is the grand argument for the gospel, and the great warrant of faith? It is that God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him (2Cor 5:21). Paul tells us that a Substitute is appointed, that sin is imputed, that righteousness is granted, and thus those who believe are reconciled.
