Every generation has its doomsayers, but it is obvious that we are living in different times. We have lost our way and there are reasons why. Many just want to live a nostalgic, romantic fantasy of the "good old days" when the world was so much better just a few decades ago. In many ways it surely was, but we can never go back and make things like they were again. The Bible gives us the correct counsel about how we should think and act in such times as we are living in now. We are to stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein. Who do we ask? The Bible tells us to ask our "father and he will shew thee, thy elders and they will tell thee." We are to" consider the years of many generations." In other words, we are to seek for what they did right in many generations of the past and look for what we are missing now.
