God's attributes should cause us to fear Him in reverent awe. But because of man's wickedness, sinners instead rebel against God in anger. God is eternal and perfect. Nothing can be added or subtracted from Him. He is also just, which means He is always fair. And He is righteous, which means He is always right. In the end, He will be our judge. But those in Christ need not fear His judgment; for Christ takes our punishment for us, while granting us His righteousness.
