A. Praise continually. 'I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth'.
B. Praise audibly. Note that David says Jehovah's 'praise shall continually be in my mouth'. (Romans 1.16).
C. Praise spiritually. 'My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad' (verse 2). Praise from the inner man.
II. The Psalm continues with exhortation (verses 3-11)
A. Praise God because we do not seek him in vain (verse 4). We are never forsaken (verse 5).
B. Praise God because when we cry to him we experience his salvation. (Psalm 50.15)(Psalm 86.7)(v. 6)(Isaiah 45.22)(verse 7).
C. NB threefold exhortation that follows & respond accordingly (1) Taste (verse 8). (2) Fear. (verses 9-10). (3) Come. (verse 11a).
III. The Psalm concludes with instruction (verses 11-22)
A. Mark the contrast between the spiritual man who desires eternal life and keeps from sin and the natural man (verses 12-16).
B. Mark the contrast between the spiritual man who delights in the Lord and is kept by him in all trials and dangers and the natural man (verses 17-21).
