Under the New Testament, we are called to give until it hurts -- giving should involve sacrifice -- and then to give more until it feels good -- we need to pray for God to give us great delight in giving. If a person has wealth without the gift of giving, his wealth is a curse. As a general rule, people who have the gift of giving and use that gift will see their finances multiplied, but God will sacrifice everything in our lives to make us more like the Lord Jesus. The sermon was short because opportunity was given for testimonies to answers to prayer.
