We looked at the first part of Paul's farewell sermon to the Ephesian elders. We saw his manner - his humility, tears and trials. We saw the ministry he performed. It was public and it was private. It was a ministry which was sacrificial. The ministry was bound to the Word of God and it was one which declared Jesus Christ. Paul's ministry among the Ephesians was an excellent pattern for these elders to follow. It serves as a pattern for all elders to follow in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
