To live a life that is not displeasing to God pride is the first thing that must be dealt with. Our pride gets in the way of our willingness to identify with Christ. Pride is the motive behind most ungodliness. Immodesty and immorality are fueled by pride. Pride is the real motive for most good works. It runs deep in the human heart and we must deal with ourselves thoroughly and honestly to keep it from being a factor in our life.
