One of the things in the Bible that can trip up even the more mature Christian is understanding that the gospel that saved your soul in the Church Age, the gospel of the grace of God, is the very same thing that can damn your soul in the time of Jacob's trouble. Is that shocking to you? Does it sound like heresy? How about this one, Paul's gospel is not the only gospel in the Bible, far from it. There is no such thing as 'the' gospel outside the Church Age, in fact, there are many gospels, and none of them are interchangable. On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are taking a trip from the very beginning to the very end on the biblical timeline, making stops along the way at every place where a different gospel is in effect for the people who are alive and living in each of those dispensations. The word 'gospel' means 'good news', it does not necessarily mean 'Jesus saves' or you must be 'born again'. No one in the Old Testament knew the Name of Jesus Christ, and no one was born again. Yet we in the Church Age are commanded to believe on the name of Jesus Christ and that we 'must' be born again. The idea that there is only 'one gospel' is categorically false, and worse than that, it will lead you to errors large and small whenever and wherever you open the Book. Tonight we will supercharge our 'rightly dividing' skills by reviewing all the gospels contained in your King James Bible.
