Heaven_03 Revelation 21:1-27; 22:1-5 The first thing we need to know about heaven is that it is a promised place. A promise is only as good as the integrity of the one making it and his ability to deliver on the promise. That's good news for us, because Jesus' promise of a heavenly home is based on the character of God. The only ones who will ever gain entrance into this city; the only ones who have a home reserved in this place called heaven, are those whose names are written in the lamb's book of life. Right now you and I have to live with a wicked stepmother called the devil and wicked stepsisters called demons. Sometimes our lives can be hard because we are living under the curse of sin. But God wants you to remember that even while you are ironing clothes and scrubbing floors, the Prince named Jesus Christ is coming back to get you someday and take you to be with Him forever. That's heaven, and it's going to be glorious.
