Bro Wendell Harris passed away October 31, 2012. Bro Wendell was a great blessing to our Pastor and our church family. He will be greatly missed. We love you Brother Wendell.
Bro Wendell was born March 10, 1947 in Hogansville, son of the late Oscar and Christine Burke Harris. A U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam war, he lived in the Atlanta area nost of his life and retired from Habasit America in Suwanee after 28 years of service. He was a faithful member of Open Door Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Gordy, and is survived by a number of cousins; his church family; and several very dear friends.
