It is often difficult for the student to keep in the frontal lobe of his hard drive all the various passages dealing with Eternal Security. It is handy in such cases to have a handful of passages to “hang your hat on”, to return to when confronted by the winds of doctrine and attacks of the enemy. In this lecture four such passages are presented for the Disciple which establish beyond any doubt the eternal security of the believer. A clear understanding of these four passages of Scripture leads to one and only one conclusion – God has granted us eternal life. God's offer of salvation is by it's very nature eternal and cannot be lost under any circumstances. Without a firm grasp of these four passages as they pertain to the security both the disciplines of discipleship and the ministry of making disciples descends to the daily grind of dead works done both as a means of getting God to love us and a means of securing something which we did not earn and which cannot be lost. Nothing could be further from the true meaning of both discipleship and Disciplemaking.
