"Prepare ye the way of the Lord!" This was, of course, the message of that last great prophet, John the Baptizer, who urged people to greet this soon-to-be revealed Christ with repentant hearts. And since we've been working up to one of the most notorious sins in the Bible …followed by an equally well-known repentance, so for the next few weeks, leading up to Christmas, we hope to look at David's repentance as a pattern or paradigm of this practice that… some people think of as outdated or primitive or even psychologically unhealthy or at least undignified. But we hope to see that this practice or remedy as actually "good for what ails ya'" and is most often a doorway into deeper psychological/spiritual health. Truth is: without it one cannot become a Christian and without it one cannot continue in that life. Today, we begin to consider repentance starting with: 1) A Hindrance to the Remedy 2) The Feel of the Remedy 3) The Results of the Remedy
