In part one of this sermon, we were confronted with the imperative to seek for, and set our affections upon those things which are above. In particular, we are to place our hope and confidence in our Savior, Jesus Christ. In part two, we will be given divine direction regarding what our relationship to sin should be while placing our hope and confidence in Christ while we wait for the consummation of all things. But we will see that our waiting is not passive. On the contrary, the Christian life is (or ought to be) very active.
