And being a ‘super-Jew’ is how Paul first tried to earn his salvation. In this passage, Paul will describe every way, every area, and every step he took to be righteous before God as a non-Christian. This could be titled 'The Best a Man Can Do,' which sadly, can NEVER make a man righteous before God. No man can ever earn his own salvation.
