Great Sermon! Very balanced and informative sermon. The topic of pants on women has unnecessarily divided Christians with some judging others as worldly for wearing them. Well intentioned believers read more into Deuteronomy 22:5 than it actually contains, inadvertently imposing their understanding on the verse.

More research needed He touches on material that many people don't cite. However, he draws some wrong conclusions. For example, katastole' is mentioned to be attire, but ignores the possibility that it can conjure a particular type of attire to the mind. He states that dresses were not invented until later, but failed to note that they fit within a particular boundary or style of attire. Our use of the word dress can also mean attire in general but can also denote a certain type of attire meant for women. He also mentioned that the attire was let down, but failed to mention that pants are pulled up.
He correctly noted that noted the Jewish High Priest as wearing linen britches, but incorrectly state that only the priest wore them. It was only the high priest that was specifically required to wear them. The priest was also required to wear a bonnet, but that does not mean other men never wore one.
He correctly cited that certain women wore trousers in the ancient past. This is something feminist ignore when they make trousers a recent invention. However, he failed to state that most of these women wore them under other attire. Those only wearing trousers, ie. Celts, were considered barbarians by the Romans and others, and went back to dresses as Christianity influenced them.
