During the Roman trial of Jesus, the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate unwittingly asks the most decisive question in all history when he asks Jesus, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Pilate was simply trying to ferret out a potential political revolutionary. What Pilate didn't know was that Jesus really did have revolution in his heart and mind—but of a different sort than Pilate or the Jewish religious leaders expected. Jesus came to inaugurate the Kingdom of God and the renewal of all creation through his resurrection. Truly, world history was about to change.
